Service Changes Coming July 1st
Yesterday York Region Transit announced a slew of service changes taking effect July 1st and affecting many YRT and Viva routes. These changes include the usual, seasonal suspension of High-School Special routes and route diversions to schools, but in addition many routes are being restructured and there are even a few new routes being added.
Make sure you review the complete list of affected routes to see how your usual trips might be changing.
This Weekend, Too
YRT also made some last-minute announcements of service changes happening this weekend:Routes 1 and TTC 102D will be on detour today at 3:00 pm until tomorrow at 6:30 pm to accommodate the Markham Village Music Festival. YRT's Website has the details for Route 1; the TTC's, details for Route 102D.
Route 84 will be on detour from today at 6:00 pm until tomorrow at the same time to accommodate the Oak Ridges Fair. YRT describes the detour as follows:
Buses will continue on North Lake Rd until Bayview Ave. Right on Bayview, right on Bayview Park La to Sunset Beach Rd and back to regular routing.
TTC Routes 17A, 37D, 68B, 102D, 129A and 165A in York Region are receiving frequency adjustments effective this Sunday.
