This Sunday changes to many transit routes take effect here in York Region. The government has published a list of highlights on its website, which include the creation of two new routes: Route 50, connecting Keswick and Newmarket; and Route 304, an express route connecting the Mount Joy and Finch GO stations.
Route 56 on Detour
YRT has announced another service change to accommodate Canada Day festivities: Route 56, Gorham-Eagle will be on detour between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm this Sunday for the Newmarket Canada Day Parade. YRT describes the detour as
Westbound: West on Gorham, right on Prospect, left on Queen St, left on Main St to Water St/Eagle St to route.
Eastbound: Reverse westbound detour routing.
Sunday/Holiday Service this Monday
Finally, remember YRT will be operating Sunday/holiday service on both Sunday and Monday.
